The Role of Experts in Farmers4Forest

Experts act as knowledge partners who help design, develop, and evaluate programs. Their involvement ensures that approaches remain data-driven, locally relevant, and aligned with sustainability principles.

Policy & Governance

Provide inputs on policies, land governance, customary forests, village regulations, and incentive schemes that support forest protection and community wellbeing.

Forestry & Agroforestry Technical Support

Support agroforestry system design, soil and water conservation, forest restoration, and other technical aspects including HCS–HCV and monitoring.

Social, Economic & Empowerment

Support social analysis, value chains, community enterprise models, and strategies for empowerment and local institutional strengthening.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

Act as resource persons in trainings, workshops, webinars, and the development of learning modules for farmers, communities, and partners.

Desired Expert Profile & Qualifications

  • Professional or academic experience in relevant fields (forestry, agroforestry, socio-economics, environment, governance, etc.).
  • Understanding of working with local communities and participatory approaches.
  • Willingness to collaborate across sectors and disciplines.
  • Availability to provide periodic inputs, training, or technical assistance as agreed.
