Sintang Regency is one of the key forest areas in West Kalimantan that continues to uphold ecological sustainability and community-based environmental management, with Talaga Dua Village being one such example.. The region is home to local and indigenous communities that preserve traditional knowledge and sustainable practices in protecting forests and managing natural resources responsibly.

Through collaboration with the Farmers For Forest Protection Foundation (4F), Telaga Dua Village has become one of the partner villages actively involved in community-based forest protection and environmental conservation initiatives in Sintang Regency. The village demonstrates a strong commitment to preserving forest ecosystems, maintaining local wisdom, and strengthening sustainable natural resource management practices.

The partnership encourages participatory conservation approaches through environmental education, community empowerment, forest monitoring, and sustainable livelihood development. Various collaborative activities are implemented to strengthen the role of local communities as active guardians of forests while promoting awareness of ecological sustainability and biodiversity protection.
