Summary

He is a forestry expert and an internationally active environmental advocate working on forest protection, Indigenous peoples’ rights, and sustainable forest governance. He is widely recognized for his role as Global Forests Solutions Senior Advisor at Greenpeace International, where he works to develop global strategies and solutions to address deforestation, safeguard biodiversity, and ensure that forest peoples’ rights are respected in policies and industry practices.

In his capacity at Greenpeace, Rosoman has served as a coordinator for global forest solutions and is frequently invited as a speaker and resource person at international forums focused on improving forestry standards, forest certification, and the implementation of no-deforestation principles. He has also been involved in the development and oversight of technical methodologies such as the High Carbon Stock Approach (HCSA), and has been a strong advocate for transparency and respect for Indigenous peoples’ rights within certification standards such as the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).

With a long track record that began at Greenpeace in the early 1990s, Rosoman has contributed to numerous forest campaigns across the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and other regions worldwide. His work includes writing reports and policy materials, as well as collaborating with environmental organizations, local communities, and multilateral institutions to address the challenges of deforestation, climate change, and social inequities in the management of forest resources.
