Public Announcement: 4F becomes steward of the HCS–HCV Simplified Smallholder Toolkit for Indonesia

On 14 May 2026, HCSA and the Farmers for Forest Protection Foundation (4F) issued a press release regarding the agreement reached for 4F to become the future steward of the HCS–HCV Simplified Smallholder Approach Toolkit for Indonesia.

The agreement was endorsed by the HCSA Steering Group Executive Committee on 29 January 2026, with the change of governance taking effect on 14 May 2026.

From that date, 4F will assume ownership of the toolkit, with oversight on its use and further development, and serve as the main point of contact for enquiries. The toolkit will remain publicly available in Bahasa Indonesia and English, supporting Indonesian smallholders and stakeholders working on forest protection and sustainable livelihoods.

The toolkit is available on the 4F website, and HCSA aims to continue hosting its latest version as a downloadable resource with a direct link to 4F.
